Where We’ve Been

We began this week in prayer for our fellow Texans, Dr. Kent Brantly and his family from Fort Worth. Dr. Brantly had been serving in West Africa for a Christian relief organization, Samaritan’s Purse. As you have likely heard in the news, while serving this noble cause Dr. Brantly contracted Ebola. He is now back here in the United States at Emory University Hospital and we are encouraged to hear reports that his health is steadily improving. We pray for Dr. Brantly and his family that the treatment he receives will be successful in curing him and that they will find peace in this time of worry.

On the campaign trail, it was another great week for #TeamP. Last week started with one of our largest phone banking efforts thanks to the Houston Young Republicans. Dozens and dozens of Young Republicans came out to phone bank for George P. early in the week. There were so many volunteers that they had to started calling voters from their cell phones after campaign HQ ran out of landlines! The Young Republicans were making calls for George P. and the Republican ticket, but they were also showing everyone that the next generation of Texan leaders are ready to step up and make a difference.

George P. also had a great write-up in the Killeen Daily Herald! Check it out here!

Over the weekend, once again volunteers came out across the state to knock on doors and let everyone know why George P. is the only choice to be our next Texas Land Commissioner. Hidalgo County Young Republicans came out in force on Friday to support George P. and other Republicans running for election this November. In North Texas, Collin County supporters spent their Saturday morning block walking to help #KeepTexasRed.

In South Texas, Team P. attended the Texas Association of Mexican American Chambers of Commerce convention in the Rio Grande Valley along with supporters from Team John Cornyn and Team Greg Abbott. The Republican Party of Texas is committed to representing all Texans, and Team George P. had a great time attending the convention!

The week ended just as it started, with amazing support from volunteers making calls to spread the word in support of George P. The Young Republicans of South Texas spent both Saturday and Sunday volunteering and phone banking for Republicans across the state! It is that kind of effort that will make sure we #KeepTexasRed this November! That kind of support from people like you is driving this campaign and shows everyone just how mobilized and motivated we are. More and more volunteers are coming out as the election gets closer. Check back next week to see how much more we’ve grown and Where We’ve Been!
